Stocks falls for 25% -> you lose 25% of your wedger, so you lose 250 Rs and your remaining is 750 Rs.

Purchase “Down” for 1000 Rs :

Stocks goes up for 25% -> you lose 25% of your wedger, so you lose 250 Rs and your remaining is 750 Rs.
Stocks falls for 25% -> you earn a profit of 25%, in this case is 250 Rs, so you get 1250 Rs in total.
